i've looked for this in the forums and found a similar problem with the 2nd gen, dunno if it's the same though.
over the last few days the front passenger door would not unlock via the button, so i'd just reach over and pull the handle to open it for the woman. I could also unlock and open it from the outside (if the lock wasn't frozen). but now i can't do anything. the outer lock is frozen so i can't get in that way. and the inner handle seems to be stuck in the open position. if i smack it, it pops back into place, sounding almost as though the plastic on the handle was getting stuck on the trim, but that didn't seem to be the case.
whenever i pull it i feel normal resistance, but just gets stuck sitting in that open position. from there it has a little more pull, but nothing happens.
i don't know if it's a problem with my lock or handle...or maybe both now. i haven't been able to tear into it yet, was jw if any1 had the same problem??
