I have a 98 4.0 explorer that i'm most certain is having PATS issue. Yesturday car didn't start because of a loose negative battery cable. Car clicked, and that was it, everything went out. I didn't have any tools so I just used my hands to tighten it. After, engine would turn but wouldn't start. At first theft light would blink rapidly and now it just stays solid when I turn key to on position. I was able to tighten it more with tools today and still same problem. I even took cables off and waited about 30min to put back on, and same thing. Would having a locksmith reprogram the key solve the problem or if they make me a new key? I just don't want to be paying a little over $100 for something a locksmith can't fix. If it blew a fuse, which fuses do I look at?
