'99 Mountie, 5.0L engine... where is the pcv valve located? Haynes manual says "at the rear of the intake manifold" but I sure cannot find it. What parts must I remove to make the pcv accessible?

Thanks.

Paul

The manual is correct. It is at the very rear -in the middle of the lower intake manifold. You can barely reach down there to pull it out. Look for a 3/8" hose going that direction and follow it down there

JT is dead on the money. That PCV is a ***** to get to. If all else fails, you can remove the upper intake for access. The hose and grommet will be as hard as a rock. Buy a new grommet. Use silicone around the outside of the new grommet when you install it back into the intake. You can buy preformed hoses from Ford, but you will not believe what they charge you for them.
