Peeing Gas

Well I turned on my Explorer and it started
to pee gas from the bottom by the right passenger side just behind the tire
and i was wondering what type of fuel lines run through the bottom.
Steel or Rubber?

and Do you think I could fix? or should i invest money on a mechanic.

I tried looking for the guides and everything but i came with nothing
and any input would be greatly appropriated.

Is your tank on the passenger side? My tank is on the Driver side on my '94, and all my fuel lines are on that side of the vehicle as well none on the passenger side.

Umm your gas tank is on the driverside ie left side of the vehicle. The fuel line runs in/along the frame rail. The only thing that I can think of that would leak on that side is the axle tube.

Best thing to do is get underneath the truck when its running and determine where its leaking from. Does it do it only when you start the truck initially?

when you turn it on it starts a little but then it pours so i have to turn it off just in case

Wonder if its just condensation in your exhaust. Like I said previously get underneath and see where its leaking from or have someone start it and see if its coming from the exhaust.

If it's gasoline that's dripping, it's probably actually leaking from something on top of the engine. Once on top of the engine, the gas could flow forward, backward, left, or right depending on exactly where it is. Maybe the FPR is leaking and the vacuum line has come off, or one of the fuel lines going to the fuel rail or an o-ring to one of the injectors.

As tedious as it is, the best thing is to spend some time poking around to see what's up.

You can manually operate the fuel pump without starting the engine by grounding the fuel pump test lead in the self-test connector- that might help track the leak down so you don't have to do it with the engine running.

Gear oil from the axle, has a WAY different smell then gas.

It could also be gas leaking from the fuel pump, somehow getting shot over to the passenger side and running down from there. When you get gas leaks back there it is usually from the little steel elbow on top of the fuel pump that connects to the lines. Those elbows rust and burst. Mine did, although not nearly that much. The rest of the fuel lines are braided steel lines, never heard of one bursting, so I doubt that is the problem.

But as already mentioned make sure it is gas back there. Really though the only other thing it could be is water from the exhaust. Nothing else is under pressure while the motor is running.

I fuelled my exp totally, then I stopped in a place that was pitched. I parked with the rear to the bottom.
Later I saw that the gasoline was leaking behind the passenger side rear tire.
I drove away, then I stoppped in a flat road, then nothing happened. Later I parked back to the pitch place with the front to the bottom. Nothing happened. Is it possible that there were too much gasoline and the car's front was upper then the rear, then somehow soetinh let some gasoline?

That's possible, but it shouldn't leak. The fuel system on most vehicles since the 80's is sealed. Venting is done thru a charcoal canister somewhere in the vehicle, very often in the rear. IF the canister is on the passenger's side (I don't know where it is) and IF you overfill it enough, you will fill up the canister and create a leak out its atmospheric vent.

i only suggested the pinhole leak theory b/c last week my friends blazer leaked only when either he filled it up or parked facing up hill so when we dropped the tank we seen 3 pin holes leaking away all his gas.. lol mighty putty at advanced auto works wonders.

leaking fuel injectors on the back now i need a strategy to replace them

seeing that you found a leaking injector ....

the only way to fix it is to pull the upper intake and to remove the fuel rail .

a couple of tips :

1) make sure you have replacement gaskets for the upper intake ( 2 gaskets,a upper and a lower)

2) when disconnecting the wires to the injectors pay carefull attention that the clips will break on you ( brittle from heat )

3) use the green o'rings for the injectors

4) do not use silicone based lubes to help seat the injectors into the fuel rail (i used 10-30w motor oil)

i bought all new injectors for mine at "parts train.com" they are remnufactured but come with a unlimited milage warranty and were also cheaper than the auto part's store's that were around me ....good deal imo.

Odd tool. You will need a External (reverse) Torx to get the Rail off. I forgot what size.

Sears did not carry the tool. I had to buy mine from Schucks.

you are not alone, my Explorer was leaking gas out of the header. I think it may be a bad injector but also can't tell as my coolant was a little low and oil a little high so it could be a head gasket and something else was an issue.
