Peeing

Yesterday was really cold, about -27C. I started my truck in the morning to let it warm up. When I went back outside, coolant was leaking all over the ground. I shut the truck off and got a ride to work.
After work I checked to see where it was leaking, but couldn't pin point it. I topped up the fluid and started the truck so I could see where it was leaking, but nothing. It doesn't leak anymore and it runs fine.

Any thoughts? I was thinking maybe the thermostat temporarily seized causing the coolant to come out the seep hole in the water pump (if it has one).
The temperature is fine too, so if the thermostat did stick, it's not anymore.

When is last time you checked the temp rating of your coolent. Could it have frozen overnight then thawed during the day?

Mine had been doing this from the tank crimp near the lower steel cooler line on the driver side. Did it a couple times, stopped when warmed up, and hasn't done it since. I have a new rad sitting in a box that I'll toss in when it warms up outside... They like to leak from the tank crimp

It was replaced last year, but no I didn't check the temp rating. The stuff they sell in stores here are usually good for all seasons because we do get cold winters. I will find out the temp rating just to be sure.
If by chance it did freeze, I don't think it would have thawed during the day. The truck was parked in a car port (shade) with day time temps of -27C.

Check the level, if a freeze plug went, and coolant is low, it may still seem normal (not overheat) when it's that cold.
