People from NC??

yup; I've never been but I'm planning on going. It's kinda of hard to find info about it, but if you search persistently on the internet you should be able to find the details. Supposedly there's great fishing there too.

EDIT: there's some info at http://www.nps.gov/caha/capehatteras.htm. Not all the stuff's in the same place so you may have to poke around a little bit under some of those menu headings.

Ok there seems to be a few of us from NC here, lets just set a date for this fall (on deployment right now). We can do a weekend in like september as uwharrie, I've been there once, bone stock and broke some stuff. This time it should be more fun. but we are going to have to bring the wife and her Heep (hopefully the new shock mounts stay put this time). We can do a poll on the best time frame.

Ahhh...Uwharrie local here. Takes about 20 minutes to get there for me (live on Lake Tillery). If you want some mud, there is plenty of it. Rocks? Got you covered. Lightweights, please make sure it is dry before you attempt it, and if you're fullsized, practice a little in tight places; some of the trails are hard to manuver in my 80's F-150 beater truck, anything bigger than that might as well stay home.

If anyone wants to take a trek through there sometime this spring, me and a few of my friends (all Jeep owners...cept me, but I hate trying to take the F-150 through there, and the X will be on jacks by then) would be glad to lead the way.

lol you know that as soon as you get back in fall, those that are here now will be taking your place.

I go to App. State as well. I will be SAS by then and locked. I will be running d60 rear and d44 front. So I will be glad to come along to aid with anyone who might be super stocker. Uwharrie is very fun. I run it once to twice a month when open.

By the way Uwharrie isn't anything but class 1 trails compared to Tellico. If anyone wants to get a Tellico trip going for the summer I am game for that as well. I went the weekend before thanksgiving last year. All I have to say is WOW. Uwharrie isn't anything besides a dirt road compared to Tellico.

Lake Wylie is where you can find me wheelin. Palasades were good for a lil while, i go to this developing neighboorhood up in belmont on the otherside of the lake which has got some pretty intense trails runnin through the woods... gotta be careful they are looking to arrest people if you dont have property in there...

yall need to go to the outer banks... there is nothing better then wheelin on the beaches
