I have a 5 speed automatic and a V8, so what trans do I have and is it stronger or weaker than the standard 4 speed automatic?

Now I'm even more confused! Does that mean I have the 4R55E? Cause Baumann says that the 5R55E only with SOHC. Hehe, all I know is that they don't make a shift kit for my car :(

there are no 5 spd auto's for the 5.0 . origanly when bauman did there web page the 5r55e was not avalible with any other motor except the SOHC. i have asked Baumann before about doing my friend 5r55E and they said no at the time even though they had that post on there site. they said to get a chip to make it shift harder. i have sold a lot of there products so i am pretty shure if they can do it . it will be nice but as fair as i still know they may not be doing valve body recals yet for the 5r55e.

i just got off the phone with Greg from Bauman enginering who has worked on Troll in the past helping us to get the baumannator to work right and straight from his mouth. "we do not currently offer any thing for the smaller light truck line trans that comes in the 4.0 we have plans of offering some stuff in the future but do not have any thing right now." i hope this helps you guys out some. if you would like call them and talk to greg he may be able to help you out. he says he can look up all of there documentation on the trans and might be able to help you guys out in working out a solution for you guys.

sorry to post two in row.
