Rick,
Great site! More information here than Ford could probably give me:D (enough cheezin'?). Q is,..I know there are 2500 members+-, Do you have a before/after picture gallery? I've seen the pages where there are separate pages for more modified explorers and slightly modified. I also understand you don't have a 'pentagon-sized' data-bank to hold everyones truck pics but just out of curiosity. Is that 'thread'/page on the horizon? Like the dirty truck contest page your thinking about:cool::exp:Thanks!

No there aren't any before and after photos. No one has ever submitted any. Would you like to start?? Would anyone like to start?

Matts before and after

Quite a difference eh? For more "after" pics you can check out the feature explorer #2 page or http://bart.is-s.com/~explorers/madams/

Quite a difference, Mine has been through a little more cosmetically. It was the silver/red combo, now a smoke gray all over. After the lift is installed next weekend(soonest I could fit it in, and it's killing me to wait), I'll send you the before/after. I think people would like to see the transformation of others vehicles. BTW, where are the graphics?

Graphics?

Opps!..I saw Rick's name and a black truck:eek: , my bad. I like the stance of your truck. That's how I'd like mine to look after everything is installed.

Hey Goober, no problem, though for the record I be lieve Ricks Explorer is a dark green, not sure of the exact name of the color, BUT it has a lighter green tailgate. Has some cool graphics on his... I had thought of putting some on mine, maybe even repainting it, but can't justify it since I'll probably just scratch up whatever I put on there anyway, heh heh.

Matt,
Ricks truck is dark green.. depending on where you stand.. remmber.. the rear hatch is new.. (garage incident).. and is a different color than the truck.. :)

When it was still small and stock

I need to take some newer pictures of it now. The sheet metal is no longer as straight and the rear quarters have been sliced off. Also there is Herculiner on the bottom of it.

Anyways there is my before and after. Not to exciting... only bigger tires on mine really.

I think it's always cool to see before/after photos... kind of like when I see an Explorer that looked like mine did when I bought it and say "hey, I remember that!" :).

I'll have to look around to see if I even have any pictures from before. The paint was in such bad shape, I didn't want anyone to remember it(not even me:D.)

Paint?!?! We don't need no stinkin paint! LOL Trees and rocks will take care of that for me anyway...

Ok here are the pics. I guess I don't have the knowledge or the option to post directly, so here's the link to see.
#1 - Bone stock silver on top/red on sides. #2 freshly painted, #3 all the add ons and lifted.

All in all the whole thing went well. Only one frozen bolt. That was in the rear leafs and it had to be the one right next to the gas tank! The only cutting that had to be done was about 1/4" of the plastic air dam just below the front bumper. Steering wheel needs to be centered and get an alignment, but it drives alright til the springs settle. Let me know what you think!

hey are those Hellas on there I see? LOL just kidding, looks great! Quite an improvement! I like the looks of the BFG's with the whites out, don't see a lot of that on the Explorers for some reason. I think you and I must have the same wheels... looks good, glad to see we successfully converted another Explorer!

Yes, those are Hellas. If only I knew someone with better lights, I might put them on.....haha. They light up the road enough to spot the deer and avoid them.

Nice looking rig Goober. I got to tell you, I am jealous of you guys and gals that are able to lift your rigs with not much modifications to it. When I bought my '95 I had no idea what was, or in my case, what wasn't available for it when it came to lifting it. I wish I would have known about this site or others to get more info before buying. Oh well, it gives me an excuse to buy another, pre 95 next time, in the future.;)

I have an almost before.. Within 1 week of buying our explorer I had already removed the sway bars, put on RS9000's and 30" x 9.50 Yokohama Geolander MT's...

Before..

After.. (I can't find a good.. picture)..

Maybe this is better??

Even these aren't with the 32" tires and other add-ons.. but you get the idea..

This is good stuff guys, great idea. If enough people have before/after shots you could make a whole new forum out of it, or just add it onto the registry. What do you think Rick?

Before, After, During...

My befores, afters, and ongoing pictures can be seen on the link below. Mostly slight lift and tires.
