Got all the roof lights installed on my Yakima rack-turned-lightbar. The welding shop welded 5 tabs instead of 4, thats why there is a space inbetween the lights. Luckily they did write down 4, so they looked it up and were like "oops" so they didn't charge me :) plus, it is a good place to add a 5th light or a great place for a cb antena or something.
Unfortunately, the install started out with a casulty :(

Luckily my man Dino at PIAA is fedexing me a replacement. It slipped out of my hands slow-mo style, and I fumbled it twice but lost it. It fell 4 feet, and cracked both the plastic grill, and the lens. Still works though, so its up there for now.

I ran all the wiring inside black conduit, and then used electrical tape to wrap that and then wrapped the wires from the conduit to the light. Zip ties were also used to secure the conduit to the lightbar. All in all, I don't think it looks too bad.

nice... but it needs more lights to fill that void in hte middle... and how did you do that with only one hand?

very carefully :). I'm thinking temporarily, when the new light gets here, I'll put the broken one in the void, and not even wire it, just put it there for looks. Still kinda pissed at the welding shop, but it did save me $30

i'd put a matching tube bumper in back... have cut outs for the plate and an aux light... that way you can buy a pair and fill the top spot and avoid trees, animals and the ocational child while reversing :D

i'm likin this truck more and more every time i see it!

Thanks man,
I'm actually probably going back to the stock front bumper after my next lift. With the 3" bl and 33s, the front bumper would have needed to be trimmed. I drove w/o a bumper for a month, and when the snow started to fall I decided I needed a bumper. I had brackets welded on to this bumper, with the idea it would be temporary. Part of my Lund sponsorship includes a Smittybilt Outland Grillguard, but its backordered. Plus, I don't like the way the tube front bumper doesn't curl around the sides at all, its kinda ugly. So, when Skyjacker comes through, and I'm sitting another 4" higher, then my bumpers will match.

Nice truck man, I like the hood:D

Nice looking X and I like the new bumper and taillight covers and the lift and lights are real nice. I also like the hood and mine are finally done being painted the color of my truck and ready to be put on. I know these lund scoops will look real nice on my X as well as they do on your bad azz X.

Thanks for the compliments Mike and Fred,
I'm pretty happy with it so far, but it still needs to go up more! Skyjacker will be fixing that (soon I hope) with 4 more inches. I'll look into 35s then too. Now it just needs to get dark sometime so I can try them out, I'll have to go 4wheeling at 3 am to even get some dusk :D
Can't wait for the next sucker to leave his brights on, he he he.

Good job

looks great I love the lights:D

Thanks 88vert,

I took it for its first highway drive since the lights, I was surprised. I expected more wind noise, there is almost none. I thought there would be whistling or something, my snowboard racks always do. Definitely makes me happy :)
