Probably too busy driving it... or reading the 700 page owner's manual!

Haha...I don't doubt it. I'd rather do that than taking pics!! :p

Naa, unfortunately I haven't had time to get the pictures taken. My son detailed it for me, but he didnt have access to his camera, and I haven't been home enough when its actually night out for him to take any pictures. Now that he's an adult he's not nearly as useful as he used to be lol

Eventually though, I promise ;)

Still loving the car, I'm STILL finding features and functions that I didnt know were there...

Congrats on your car. If you've read the new C&D, you'll notice that you made the correct choice!

Well I'm right behind you on getting a Lexus. Right now I got my eye on a GS430 for only $44,600. Really impressed on the vehicle, they let us borrow for the weekend to see how we like it. So far so good, dropped my GF off earlier today in my X for work, she doesn't know I got the GS430 for the weekend. I figured on surprising her when I pick her up in a few hours. On the other hand, they had quite a few LS430 priced around the mid $53,00 to low $54,000. I have to agree with Stephen, the Smart key is nice. Too bad they don't offer it in the GS430. But then again the LS is almost $10,000 more. A little bit out of my price range. I guess we've got a winner on the GS430. I was really surprised how I was treated by Lexus of Annapolis compared to other high end dealerships in Maryland like Mercedes Benz, BMW, etc.. Those other guys blew me off just because I look too young to afford one.

Well I'm back home after picking up GF. This thing suprises me. It's got 300 HP. I won't be available for a day or so, my GF wants to christen the GS. (If you know what I mean) :D. Let just hope the dealership doesn't notice any stains.

EEw its not even your car LOL...

Yeah the GS is a great car, and Annapolis is a great dealership, thats where my son bought his ES300. Can't go wrong from there.

detailed it... already?

Yeah, my son does a great job. They do a crappy one at the dealer lol.

Good choice...the only thing my parents didn't like about the LS compared to their 745Li was the 745 having much more leg room in the rear seats compared to the LS. However, the 745i matched up with rear seat space pretty evenly...love the car though..congrats

We drove it to WV and back, its first real highway trip (I took it to Jersey once) 850 total miles car ran great. The laser cruise control works really really well. Its great for passing trucks, slows down until you pass then hits passing gear and you go on by. Enjoyed the XM radio until it faded a little in the mountains then we listened to some Christmas CDs. After 5 hours on the road I could have driven 5 more... All in all a very enjoyable ride thanks to the LS.

Pics...?

I'm jealous Stephen, if me and Staci, my GF could afford the LS430 we would have gotten it. I love the fact the LS has the smart key.. I've heard you can open/close the window with key and start it without the key in the ignition. I also love the fact it is bluetooth compatible. But oh well, it was a little bit out of our budget.

I finally got around to reading that comparison in Car and Driver, if anyone wants a picture of the car in the color I have, their test car is Flint Mica. I just have the black interior instead of the cream.

Blee- I think you can open/close the windows with the key on your GS can't you? I know my son can on his ES I can't imagine why you couldn't on the GS. With the smary key you can unlock and start the car without ever taking the key out of your pocket. I never have to fumble for the keys, its great. The Bluetooth isn't perfect, but its about the best setup you can get. If it let you dial numbers while driving it would be idea. I am also a little bewildered at the fact that it has no button for voice dial, you have to use the voice dial on the phone itself. Go figure that one. If I had paid for the Bluetooth then I'd be slightly dissapointed, but since it was an integral part of the car I'm happy enough with it.

I also really enjoyed the nav system on the trip. It keeps a constant check on the miles remaining and the driving time remaining calculated on your imput average speed on different types of roads. Even though I obviously knew the way, having the nav system keep that constant mileage and time remaining was real nice.
