Rick. I did speak with her regarding the rear hatch canvas. The problem is there are many ways that we could do it. She would need to have my truck for a couple of days. I would need to take my rear hatch off for her.
I just took all my interior panels out of truck, also all motors and door locks. My doors seriously weigh nothing now.
Now if you want the three rear windows like I did, then I could have that to you pretty quickly.
Come on Rick..... I know you want these.
Will this help? They will look really good on your rig and be very functional. The best part is being able to snap the side windows off and climbing up the tire to get to something in the rear. Am I selling you yet?
That looks really nice. But if they are really made out of the same plastic as jeep windows then they will get lots of really small small scratches all over them really fast. But they wont yellow very fast at all unless you do something stupid like windex them.
I think this would be a good idea to use on half doors built to outline the whole door. Then snap this see thru plastic to the outside frame of the half doors.
That way you can keep most of the elements out of your rig during bad weather and if you had to drive on the hwy when it was cold it would help keep things warm.
Rick, Are you wanting the three rears like I have or something else? Like I said I can get this started now if you keep my design.
I do take paypal ( I think) He He. I will have to look for that price I gave you as I have since deleted the email. Do you still have it? All I need is half down to start the process and then the other half and shipping when completed.
My rear three windows are now installed and they fit and look great I only messed up in one spot that has a small buckle in the canvas. The other 2 windows went in perfect.
I do have a question though. Did you remvoe the lower bracket for the gas strut? Mine is in the way and causes a bulge on the left side, but I was still able to get a snap in there. On the right side I can't get a snap in there. It looks like they would need to be air chisled off, but I'm chicken. I don't want to scarf up the door too much.
Thanks for a great product Brian. These windows are VERY high quality.
Rick, I am glad you got the windows installed. I took the strut brace off completely. The metel is very weak right there and bends very easy. I took a pair of pliers and started bending it back and fourth until it snapped off.
Glad you like the product I worked hard getting that one going. Maybe more will be interested?
The rear three windows are 240.00 + shipping (not much on shipping)
And for all seven windows its 480.00 + shipping. Not bad considering there is noone else making these.
Let me know. I am here 24 hours a day taking orders
Would there be any way of putting straps at the top of them so they can be rolled up and secured in place? I guess this could easily be done once they are received, but I was wondering if the company that is making them could add that as an option cheaply.
Any other vinyl color other than black? I know, form follows function. But I figure, the function is already there, so why not play with the form?
I saw Rick's windows over the weekend and was impressed with the quality and fit.
I have a busted quarter window (supercab window) on my ranger that I need to replace, this may be the way to go. A rough guesstimate on a pair of quarter windows would be appreciated, also an estimate on the rear window out of curiostiy.
You would be looking at around 240.00 plus shipping on the rear windows (all three). Since I dont have the truck here in Dallas I would need for you to pull the window out and make an exact cardboard replica. This way we can make you r custom canvas windows. Then once you cut your cardboard replica, place it in the space where it is to go and make sure you have a nice fit and a good mounting area. This will all make more since when you get the window out and you can see your mounting surface. Let me know and we can start working on the details.
Brian... I hate to say it, but I need the price on the driver side rear window... I tore it this weekend at Truckhaven. I should have taken it off before I tried to squeeze into such a tight spot.
