WOW, this must be a 1991 or '92, due to the fact it has the 91-92 steel wheels with beauty rings.....even though the rings are missing LOL:D

I've never seen them driving a camaro or tahoe around here. There's a police station up north where I saw a bunch of explorers, mustangs, good ol' school caprice classics, crown vic's, and even a couple F-350 super duties, but the last time I went by there was a couple years ago. I've also seen the police station on 6th and never seen anything except a lot of crown vic's...

I had never seen a first gen police car till this thread, thanks for all those pics crankcase...

Crankcase, how can you tell the different years, like with the '92s and '94s? Did you ask someone when you took the pics, or can you tell by looking at them?

And since people are starting to mention cool police vehicles: I was driving through an area called Duluth, and I passed this black Dodge Ram pickup, lifted a little, black tinted windows, black paint, and in big yellow block letters on the side it said Duluth Police. It was so plain and simple that it was just an awesome police vehicle.

Well, most of those were from websites, that had the years, but I can identify first Gen. year seperations easily....91and 92 are missing the tupperware, and have different wheels from 93 and 94's The dash is different on 93's and 94's too. Second gen. has its differences too.....

Here in Cobb County, Georgia, we have mostly crown vics, but also about two ~'98 Explorers, and a couple of new Camaros. In the city of Kennesaw, they have about two ~'98 Mustang GT's, and some Jeep Cherokees. And in the city of Marietta, they have a ~'90's Corvette, PT Cruiser, and a Nissan Xterra.

Man, I thought I got ride of Oceanside. That's the town I used to live in back in Cali, and they had quite a few of them. They seemed to ALWAYS be right outside the main gate of Camp Pendleton watching for us jarheads speeding off base ;)

The military police here use Expeditions.

I would love to go take some pics of the trucks that the guy down the road from me has. Hes got a 1st gen X thats from the fire department (red with all the fancy paint and lights and stuff), a 12 second Dakota R/T and an F350 dually 4 door with the extended cab on it also. Its got one of those towing wings on the top of it. Its huge.

I can make it like a game. I'll put some camo on and paint my face, hang a couple fake hand gernades from my belt and sneak through the woods with my BB gun and camera. If I get caught I'll just tell them that the film will self destruct in 5 seconds and I dont know anything.

LOL :D Why can't you just take pictures of them like a normal person?

for the same reason I wouldnt want someone coming in my driveway to take pictures of my X.

Really? I think I'd be kinda flattered

But also, couldn't you go knock on his door and ask if you can take pictures?

Pretend you are with a door to door agency, and whip out the camera and take pics when he slams the door on you...:D

Nah, it'll be more fun to do some barrel rolls and pretend there are bullets flying at me.

Just don't get hit....:D

Hit??? I live for danger!!
