Pics of "Working" X'es?

That's so depressing that they're being stripped. I mean, look at the Ex in the pic, that looks to be in really good condition (especially considering it's a police Ex  )

"Stripping" means police radios, lights etc...just returning them to "stock" condition....with a 1/4 mile of wiring left inside;)

My X was "stripped" at the same facilty before it came up at auction.

Working Explorer

While it doesn't have bells and whistles, this is an everyday working X. In this case 4x4 high and low are getting the survey crew close to the action.

Our dept's chief has an expedition but the ema director has an explorer. i'll try to get a pic of it though he's not around to much.

I think of this thread whenever I see a cop Explorer or EMT Explorer or taxi Explorer or just generic work Explorer. But alas, I have no digital camera, so I can't take pics

Here is a pic of my town's police X...Its not a V8, not sure if its a SOHC or a OHV, but I hope its at least a SOHC, or wrongduers shouldn't have too much trouble getting away

It looks to be a a 99+, so unless it has a manual transmission(Yeah right), it has the SOHC.

I saw an 02 unmarked police explorer the other day. It was cool, all black (limited trim black too). the back windows were tinted really dark. It had lights inside the windows, lights in the corners of the back window that you couldn't see unless on, cause of the tint. It had to have some special modifications done to it, cause it hauled some serious ass after it flipped on its sirens.

Last week I saw a gen 2 X towing a trailer loaded with practice missiles down the flight line. I couldn't get a pic cause I don't take my cam to work and you aren't allowed to take pics of mass aircraft on the flightline. But it was neat to see anyways, they usually use a Ford F-350.

A Cnadian National Railway Explorer: Looks normal to me...
