pimpedout97x's worklog. body work + bags

I'd like to see this section once its done -- this looks like a difficult weld, maybe a stick welder can get in there:

tomorow it will be finished, so you know ill have pics tomorow :)

should have the notch done tomorow too.

that bar will be braced too, so its not just gonna be sticking off the frame like that unsupported.

Great!! I'll be waiting.. patiently.. waiting, and gently rapping, rapping at your chamber door.

'sir,' say you, `or madam, truly your forgiveness I implore;
but the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping,
and so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door,
that I scarce was sure I heard you' - here you open wide the door; -
darkness there, and nothing more.

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before
But the silence was unbroken, and the darkness gave no token,
And the only word there spoken was the whispered word, `Lenore!'
This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, `Lenore!'
Merely this and nothing more.

Haha that version is fantastic -- gotta be my favorite Holloween Special episode :D

these 3 pics are of the car all the way down as it is now (no notch, frame it laying on the axle) when we notch it, we should get at least another 4". if my wall wasent there, i would be able to lay :( but whats done is done.

Thanks for the pics!

lol ya it is pretty damn flat. its 96 cents a can at walmart haha

u think ill have any chipping/rust problems? im putting on like 937 coats lol

where you livem, you wont have chipping problems unless you put that many coats on :) The key is to put on just enough coats -- too many and you'll see weird things once it totally dries after a few weeks.

you're using a flux core wire ?

you read my mind.... PLEASE dont use flux core on something like this. But if you have to use it, please at least use some gas with it. It will make things looks so much better and will be stronger.

looks like stick welding to me

wall v1.2 coming at a later time.......never even heard this one, oh well....

reason for removal: it was in my way to lay frame, and i should have done bags before the wall, but whats done is done.

Ryan

Hey what the hootnany! You're building a wall already? Where are the pics of the X rolling?

Actually what I'm interested in is how your vehicle performs on hard corners .. and I guess to make it more simple, it would be great to see your vehicle parked sideways on a steep incline :D I'd like to see how much lateral movement your 4-link has - if any.

the wall is coming out to lay frame, then getting rebuilt...

this is by far not a daily driver lol...just whenever i feel like driving it...
