Pismo Dunes, CA Oct. 25-26 Meet

I gotta snatch strap, shovel, electric air compressor and radios. I sand ladder would be nice, a high lift would be cool too in case anyone gets buried to the frame rails. . I guess a little team work would be nice as well to make sure we all have a good time. I've said it before. I'm gonna get stuck and I'm gonna need some help.

Hey does any of the nor-cal people want to meet up somewhere in the bay and drive down as a group?

don't forget LIGHTS!!! if you have Hella's or KC's.. it gets pretty dark at night!!!

hahaha coolchriscruch...i'm 2wd and I know i'm going to sink! but I didn just finish my tt/shackles and now im running 31's...maybe if i air down to about 8 pounds I can make it to the campsite! lol....if I get stuck right away i'm parking my explorer and jumping in with one of you guys because I don't wanna kill your guy's time trying to pull me out!

Speaking of campsites, ClarkKent do you think that you could get there early or something and claim us a spot to camp @. Also does the gate to get in close, and if it does what time?

Hey Mike I'm down in San Mateo so sure cruising down together will be fine. I sure Hope that I got all my bugs worked out by then. I wouldn't want to miss it.

Haha. Ya, I am going down. I am going to sink like a rock, 2WD with 31" BFG AT's. We might as well just tie me to the back of a 4x4 and tow me around the dunes. I think ill play on the beach were the sand is hard packed. I can't wait.

Do we need flags? I have seen guys with the orange flags out at pismo, do we need them?

It's sorta hard to get stuck out there.. Just as long as you don't go in soft sand and stop and gas it you'll be fine.. Airing down your tires does make a huge difference.. If i dont air down, i get stuck like if i didnt have any tires on.. I'm 2wd with posi and some digging 32inch Mudd tires and only three inches of lift and i doo just finE!

btw. How many people are planning on camping out there, i might have to make a reservation!

it is 6 dollars to camp and 4 dollars for a entrance fee for your truck.. The dunes close at 11 pm.. and they will fine you if you don't have a pass for camping.

Cool so I should do fine out there because I have a Limited Slip rearend with 4.56 Gears in it. Also the size of my tires should help me out a lot.

Well, sorry guys, but I don't think I'll be makin it out there this time. Our run to Joshua Tree is on Nov. 1-2, so that means waaay too much to drop on gas right now. You guys have a great time!

Hell ya you will need to make a reservation, you might have some pissed off explorer owners camping in your front yard if you dont

Hey clark...lol if I can even make it to comp hill, I will stand proud of my explorer! lol....my brothers prolly gunna take his truck and try to "wamp" on you up comp hill...but I'm sure you will knock him out! lol....when I took his truck up comp hill me and my friends were fliying around lol....his suspension sucks!

By the way what do you air down to? cuz I'm thinking like 8 pounds
