Yes … but this is definitely NOT an SEC football tailgate.

Go Gators.

Never wrestle with a pig.
You'll both get muddy but
the pig enjoys it...

Roll Tide!

I miss those days. Spent many a gameday in Tuscaloosa. Went to one in Columbia…was ripping vodka shots while playing cornhole with a sorority at 9:30am.

Ugh, better days

No but I found this one on amazon.ca

$240CDN wow. How is this not a fire hazard? And it say's it's Unversal fit, it looks way too big for the 96 Explorer Oil pan. This would almost be touching the ground.

My God man, just drive the Honda! This is the only viable solution that exists for you, period. You have FOURTEEN pages of suggestions and advice (and counting) in this thread. If you can't find a solution by now the only one left is to drive the darn Honda. Or get another job. Or eat ramon noodles so you don't need a second job.

Maybe at this point you just like the attention?

being honest, not too sure, but seems to be the answer to your questions. it seems like they are for track use, so it seems they can take the heat?
to test, can you see this link RJS Racing Equipment 22000101: Black Sportsman Engine Diaper - JEGS High Performance

The whole racing-engine-diaper thing boggles my mind, LOL. Wonders never cease.

What? I am driving the Honda.

What? I am driving the Honda.
i think eddie may be referencing that there is 14 pages of suggestions, and none (until the diaper) have been taken. it could come off as asking the same question over and over again, with getting different answers but taking none. there comes a point to make up the mind about the solution, and many have pointed out the only :"real" fix is to change the gasket. however, maybe there is an aspect me, or everyone else is missing.

I don’t know that I’d want to try one.

A hot rod/dragster and a daily driver are night and day different. Those cars don’t have cats, their exhaust doesn’t run under the car. The car is started, burnout, run, shut down…a maybe they do a few runs, then it gets trailered home. This is designed to contain oil in the case of an engine failure. It isn’t designed for an old, leaky engine.

From my research, guys are saying it is a pain in the ass to install/remove (which means you won’t be changing that pad much), and it results in significantly increased oil temps.

They’re also designed for dragsters with DEEP pans.

Once again, this is a horrible idea.

A few $$$ for RTV and $240 cad for the diaper. Tough choice if money is tight.

I'll bet good money the diaper idea gets crapped on (or is it "in"?) too. Spending $240CND on an engine fanny pack will never happen. I doubt he can install it properly, if at all. Odds are good that this diaper will either be wrapped around one, or more, of the drive shafts or in the serpentine belt and pulleys or maybe melted by the exhaust manifolds. I am not trying to be mean but by now I think it can be said that there is no solution he will take that will allow him to drive the Explorer AND keep his current pizza delivery job.

This works. I'm reading more on it, looks legit. I may give the manufacturer a call tomorrow to inquire more about it.
It doesn’t work. It’s for a race car. It’s not for a street car. It’s made to keep oil and parts off the track when you have a block, or other major failure. This is not to catch leaking oil. It’s not intended to be ran with oil in it. It’s a precautionary safety measure.

Give up the diaper idea.
