I have a 1997 Ford Explorer 4dr. I got a cb radio but i just dont know where to put the antenna. Where is the best place? Could someone send me pics of where they have them? I am looking at just getting the glass mount ones. Are these good? do they get as good reception as a big one? or do they atleast get decent reception? I am also having trouble mounting my cb radio. Where have yall put them? All suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks

...remember, the search button is our friend...:D
...and the glass mounts are trash...;)

Glass mounts are garbage.
Wilson 1000 or K-40 in the center of the roof will yield the best reception.

Lots of ideas in the radio forum:

I use a glass mount antenna for my ham radio. It works pretty well for what I use it for. It's not ideal, but it obviously is a much cleaner install. I even have it on the privacy glass and it works well around town to all of the local repeaters for my ham rig. I haven't noticed many times where someone else can make a contact that I can't, but again, it depends on your location and use.
