I have a 2002 explorer, i have recently changed fuel lines, fuel filter, plugs, wires, vacum line. The explorer tries to stall out when im stopped at a red light, and has a decrease in power while driving. It will drive good for a little while then starts slowing down and will not pick back up. Im pretty sure that the catalytic converter is shot. Will that cause the decrease in power and sputtering? If not does anybody know anything that might help? thanks

might be the cat... any check engine lights? try new air filter, cleaning your MAF and try cleaning your IAC, it could just be bad gas too(no pun in tended)

yep, might be the cat, one test i heard was to remove the O2 sensor to eliminate any back pressure. Might throw a code . . .but it should run better if it is the cat.
