Hey guys,

I was noticing in the street these really really bright a$$ headlights that I'm really intersted in. They're not Hyperwhite and they're not purple like the Beamers or Mercedes got. They look like a really really bright HyperBlue with White mixed in. I saw it on a Mitsubishi SUV and this morning I saw it on an Acura SUV. Could anyone tell me about those bulbs. I would love to get a hold of them for my truck!

They maybe those hyper whites all the ricers use, which are like 100 watts. The acura may have had HIDs, which are available as an option on mopst luxury car makes.

yeah, I've seen in Acura Integras but do you know where I can find them?

Probably what you are seeing are HID headlights. The placement of the cut off shield and the lense/light body all figure in to create the colored light you see. The bulbs are usually all the same 4300K HID. The driver sees only the white light while oncomming people see flashes of color as the car hits bumps.

ive got 80/100 watt purple bulbs from summitracing.com from a maker called matrix. Ive also got diamond cut headlights and upgraded wiring harness and all this = bright purple beam

Buy some hyper white and maybe a upgraded wiring harness and you should be set(cant get diamond cut headlights anymore)

If the vehicles had projector lenses, then you probably saw a lot of color regardless of what type of bulb was in them. I know I see Saturns with projector lenses flashing all kinds of color (like HID's do) but when you get close to them it is just standard halogen.

Like was said earlier, the cutoff shield makes tons of color as vehicles go over bumps.

my PIAA fogs have like 3+ tone color sorta like the bmw's... streight look on they are yellow, of to the side, white and blue depending on angle. havent really examined them, but they have a rainbow colored lense
