Hello to all, newbie here. I love our Explorers but we're having issues with the 2002 XLT V8 Eddie Bauer edition. Blower works fine, heat output is great but the defrosters and the floor vents (?) aren't working properly. The dash vents are just fine, nice and toasty. I take my granddaughter to school in the mornings and my window very, very slowly defrosts and my feet are always frozen when I get home. I've looked through a lot of posts and am really confused so could anyone give me a hint as to where to have my husband check? Thank you in advance!

Same problem here with my 2004 Explorer XLS. Temp. control works fine. Lots of air from the dash with perfect heat control. When I'm idleing and change the floor dash ect. control I hear the vacuum hiss for a few seconds then quiet down which I think sounds correct. I'm not 100% sure but at this time I do not hear a vacuum leak.
I have searched for over 2 days and only found replies to "blend door repairs".
Please help me it's 17 F, my toes are cold and I can't see clearly. LOL
