I am sure this issue has been addressed before, but there is a guy locally who has an '01 Ranger supercab 4x4 with the 5spd manual for sale with a Western "Suburban" plow with it. Pretty rare to see a Ranger with a plow kit- I know they werent designed for that use, but can they hold up to basic stuff like plowing neighborhood driveways (even here in Minnesota?) Or is that something that would tear the crap out of them pretty soon and I should avoid looking in to this truck further? Just curious on everyone's opinion on this. Thanks!

I cant say from experience that yes it would, or no it wouldnt. I would think that if it was just basic stuff like driveways it probably fine, but dont take my word for it.

I would check trans fluid, balljoints, hubs, make sure the 4x4 works, drive it til its warm both highway and city, make sure you really take your time checking it out.

As for the trans, make sure theres no delay going into gear, flared shifts, jerking, slipping, etc.
