I have a 2014 XLT V6 that the a/c makes loud metallic tapping when the compressor is engaged. It also doesn't cool as it should. With the setting on low, we should be freezing in the cabin. Any one else have issues? By the way, it only has 53k miles.
Thanks
My 2013 had poor performance and found a leak at the condenser o-ring. Ford fixed the leak and refilled the system.
Now that it's getting really hot and humid here in Alabama, I've noticed that vent temps are absolute crap at idle. Radiator fans are kicking on fine. It's only when I get up to high speeds that the temps get to the frigid temperature I'm used to.
I need to get a manifold gauge set and make sure I don't have another leak or Ford overfilled the system.
Sounds to me like either low charge or not enough air flow through the rad... If you drive a lot of gravel roads the fins on the condenser may be bent or plugged???
