Everybody is telling me to keep my explorer even though it has 100,000 miles on it and it currently looks like a soccer mom transport. What can I do to it to loose that feel. What mods have you done to your x? Is there a reasonable lift kit that wont make it noticably more top heavy? Is there a reasonable engine mod to add more power (dare I say..supercharger? or would that be stupid). What are some things I can do to it? Its a '95 4 door 4WD XLT. Blue with gray cloth interior. 6 Disc changer that can't play burnt cds worth a sh*t. And a purple pinstripe that will definately come off.

liftin's easy
do a search for a torsion twist and shackles
lookit mine
get a decent deck, i love my alpine 7892, but im not sure if they still make it

And on the other side of the coin, there is lowering. Looks good and handles much bette.

There are many simple power making mods: cat back exhaust, chip, KKM intake to name a few.

Good luck......

Or lifting it.

Oops, nevermind. How about an exhaust then?

i just recenty took my purple pinstripe off too and trust me, it looks 100 times better than before!

What about power gains? If I gonna keep drivin this thing, I want more power. Just a K&N air filter itn't gonna cut it. How much are superchargers for 4.0L's? Thats probably gonna be too expensive, so what else could I do to gain noticable power?

BTW, it already has the towing package.

Superchargers run anywhere between 2-3k...
