I had the cam tensioner and "O" ring replaced a short time back on my 97 SOHC.
Since then the shift points on the tranmission have changed for the worst. It seems it doesn't know when to shift or how to do it smoothly - on both up and down shifts. It tends to shift out at much higher revs, like it doesn't want to let go to get to the next higher gear. I have to work the gas pedal to make it up shift when and where it should.
It started the day the new tensioner went in.
Anyone have any insight, or is it the nature of the beast after those tensioners go in?
