Potential noob, also asking a question

Hi everybody. Names Ben and I am in the process of possibly trading my 86 Mustang GT T-top for a 97 Mounty. The guy has 22" DUBS on it and i need to know what were the original wheels/tire sizes for this car. My research tells me its either 15 or 16" wheels. I've been seeing some Explorer wheels on ebay and I assume that they will work if i can't find true mercs. This isn't 4X4. Can you guys help?

Any explorer wheel of the same year will work-
yes, both 15, and 16 were used.

I've joined the Dave Ramsey cult and getting rid of the toys. I am down to one car now, I actually found a 98 Explorer XLT. Thanks for the welcomes.
