hopefully i have the correct forum finally!
can anyone out there tell me the correct part # for a 1998 exp. sport 4.0-ov, std. shift power control module? (computer) my vin # 1fmyu24x4wua90020 i'm sure the one in my sport is incorrect as my obdII shows auto shift codes.

Why do you suspect the control module is bad?

it's not that i think it's bad, just not correct for the vehicle. i need to clear the check engine codes for an inpection. the truck runs fine with the unit that's in now # f77f-ajc and one i tried from a known 1996 automatic and it shows the same codes. somehow i thought the model would be f87f-???
