Yesterday my driver's side power door lock has been acting up. I have had no problems until yesterday. When I use the keyless entry the lock buttom struggles to pop up. If I use the key to get in I really have to turn hard and to get out I have to pull on the door handle to get the door open. All other locks work fine, just the drivers side. If I use the keyless entry and hit the buttom a hundred times I can sometime get it to unlock. Looks like it is getting some resistance that is preventing it from unlock. Anyone have any similar experiences with this problem or know of a fix? Thanks!

I would guess that either your power door lock actuator is going bad or the door latch mechanism itself is going bad. To test the door lock actuator, remove the interior door panel and disconnect the actuator linkage from the latch mechanism. If the key unlocks the door easy, you probably have a bad actuator. If there is no change in operation, your door latch might be bad.

I had to replace my driver's side door latch because of similar symptoms. The power locks would unlock the door about halfway and I could not open it with a key.
