Only way to check is to physically remove the door panel. Most common are a
broken latch spring, lock actuator, or the door panel rivet holding the actuator.
Is the actuator making noise? Look for a broken spring in the door bottom first.

Great! Thanks for the info and the links to the other posts, at least gives keep something to go by, I have a multimeter so I'm guessing that is where I'll start. The lock doesn't make any noise whatsoever when I operate it but the switch operates the rest of the locks just fine so I know the switch is fine.
My driver side door doesn't lock. Rivet broke on the outside. Dug in the yesterday to try and pull it out and it wouldn't budge guy at the shop said he'd charge me 40 dollars to put a new revit in.

Call a local auto body repair shop. They should have the large riveter and 1/4"
peel rivet and should take them less than 5 minutes and maybe a free lunch.

I used channel lock pliers to pull out the old rivet but I couldn't get a good angle to really heave it out. Tried pushing the acuator into the hole and drill it out but i didn't have enough pressure to go through it. The old ones broke off in there
