Some yahoo stole the glass out of the wee woman's driver's side power mirror. Just the glass is nowhere to be found around here, so I bought a whole new mirror assembly, which is working fine (and is now heated, whereas the original was not -- bonus).

However, in its full up position, the mirror is still tilted down a little too much for me. It's fine for her, because she's tiny, but not fine for me because I'm not tiny.

Is there an adjustment screw inside the mirror which will let me crank the starting position up a bit?

Did you try moving the glass with your fingers lol? All of my manual ones have been that way.

Yes, I've tried that, but it won't move up as far as I need it to.

How did you wire in the new Heated mirror?

I had to replace one of the mirrors in my Mountaineer recently and bought a heated version (only $5.00 extra). I had hoped the wiring would be there since the Mercury is an "upgraded" Ford but it wasn't. I'll have to track it down this Summer to be ready for next Winter.

While searching this forum I've found several people asking questions about upgrading to heated mirrors but no one has ever given an answer about wiring them.

I didn't have to do anything, really: the old mirror connector had five pins, and the new one has seven. The female connector seems to have eight connections, so anything from a fully powered and heated mirror to a basic one will (theoretically) fit.
