HEY,, Jason and all who replied,,,,,,,

Today I took the Explorer to Auto Zone to get some "Seafoam" and no one there has heard of it,,and can someone suggest a good intake cleaner?.....
I put some Penzoil Fuel injector cleaner concentrate in it today,,,,

....but most important I had them hook up the diagnostic tool to it and the first time it gave me a Throttle Position sensor out of range code,,but i think it was because i had the AC running in the On position,,,,,,,but after turning it off (the computer said not to have the AC running during Diagnostic) then I got the 111,which is no known errors or problems.......

What have you guys been cleaning the MAF with and is it even worth it since I didnt get a MAF error on the diagnostic,,,,,Or change the co2 sensor since I didnt get a CO2 error either?

-Thanks guys........OH jason,, checked the spark plugs the other day, and they have to be brand new,, still white on the ends with no wear and little tan.....dont look bad at all but didnt check the gap,,,,

-Thanks guys!

-Chris

The only place I could find seafoam at was carquest. As for the MAF, any intake or throttle body cleaner will work. But be gentle, because the filament wires are very fragile. It may do you some good to replace the TPS because it is only about a 19 dollar part.

Have you considered the O2 sensor? It can affect mpgs.
Good luck.

This may sound off the wall but have you checked to make sure that you dont have a brake dragging somewhere? That would kill you mileage in an instant!

The breaks have just been redone,, front and rear, still though,,,i will check just to be on the safe side,,,,,

I have a '94 Limited with the D4 axle. I got it in the fall and i was also having problems with acceleration. It seemed like i had to step on it to get it to go. Me and my dad check out the throtle and passing gear and he said it looked like i wasnt getting to the passing gear until the pedal was pressed al the way and even then it was just a little bit. We just took the pedal out and bent it straight. It was was really easy, now the pedal pulls on the passing gear cable almost imeadetely when you press on the pedal. There has been a great difference in acceleration. Was this the right thing to do? Will this cause any problems?

Thanks,
Carlos

Maybe in your gas mileage a little:D

you dont have to bend the gas pedal to adjust the kickdown cable. There is a little adjustable grey thing on the exterior of the firewall to adjust A4LD kickdown.

just so you know... my city MPG is like 13 (i have a lead foot)
Highway is like 20 though.. i have the Same X as you.
When i got my KKM and Exhaust it helped my milage a lot on the highway, but hurt the city alot (love the sound when its floored :D)
