after years of having to mess with the switch to get it to go back (forward no problem), I pulled a couple (one and a spare) from the junk yard. 6$ ea not too bad. I did not realize that the switch could be removed from its base so I spent a good part of the day getting the seat up and over so I could get to the impossible to get to harness connection. Anyway got it all back together and all good now. But next time I will know that all you have to do us remove the plastic cover, remove the two phillps screws holding the switch in, and then carefully pry the bottom wiring part from the switch part. The backup switch came from the driver side of a mountineer, I checked when I got home and realized they switch differently (used a DMM continuity checker). After removing the wiring plate I noticed the wires were routed to different pins, so I am guessing the switch is the same just the wiring base is different. Not sure of that, but did not feel like trying it to be sure.
