Well just noticed tonite my rack is leaking. Its only bad when you have the front suspension at full droop, its pretty much just running out then. There is a rip in the boot on the drivers side closest to the wheel and thats where its draining from. I would think that there should be no fluid in that boot which leads me to believe that there is a problem with the rack. Correct? Its not bad right now, so I'm not gonna worry about it.

If it does need replaced, how hard of a job is it? While I'm up there I might as well replace the sway bar bushings and see if one of those two is related to my mysterious thumping sound in the front

Thanks,
Todd

I'm gonna try and drag it out for as long as I can! This looks like its gonna be a fun job! Atleast FPN only wants $105 for a new one :)

It's not TOOOO bad of a job, i didn't have any fun with it, but you are right about there shouldn't be in fluid in there. Good luck!

same exact spot mine is leaking from, pretty much requires two hands to turn

replacing the rack isnt to bad, the first time i did it it only took me 3 hours. just make sure you count the # of turns you make when you remove the inner tie rod.
