I dont know what to do... the whine is a pain in the @ss.., it cuts through my radio and everything.... My local shop doesnt want me to replace the pump because there is no leak, and the steering is fine...

The fluid level is perfect and looks good... yet there is still this whine... The whine doesnt get louder as you would think, when you turn the wheel... It get louder w/ rpm's... So i dont think it is the fluid.., i dont know what is causing it...

The whine is constant, from when my car is idling, to when my car is on the highway...

Not sure what to do... and reccomendations like replacement, fluid change?.. i did a search on this site, havent found anything that would really help...

You may need to do a complete bleeding of the pump. I have seen some threads on here about doing this. It can be a bit time consuming, but well worth the effort. Do a search on this topic and I bet you will find the directions.

i had a whine like that on my truck.. or something like that, Ill look on my reciepts when I get a chancec and let you know what they fixed.

Its a ford...thats what they do.

bumping this back to the top.., ill try to get some more advice before i buy an aftermarket pump...

I just started getting a little steering whine when turning, and my steering is a bit light on the highway. I guess I'll have it looked at next week.
