Power Steering Pump

Hey all, slowly but surely fixing up on my explorer. Put a new transmission in about 2 months ago, but now the power steering pump is whining. I know the pumps are known for going bad and whining. Does anyone know a good brand that won’t do this for awhile?

The whinny Ford pumps aren’t on this gen. I believe most aftermarket’s now are new. Historically the reman’d ones were problematic. You should be fine with whatever brand your get.

I figured as much because my suspicions have moved to the alternator because today my battery light came on and went off when accelerating. I hate the stupid dummy analog gauges.
