I'm having issues with a power window in my '03 EB. Neither the driver or the rear controls work going up or down. I hooked a DMM up to the switch on the door that doesn't work, and I'm getting a steady 12v reading at the switch itself without having to press it.

I looked for a place to test the power at the motor in the door itself, but looks a little tough? Any suggestions at how to tackle this issue?

TIA...karson

Hey kars85, I would just about to post the exact same prob. In my wifes 03 exp xlt, neither of the two rear door windows will go up or down. The driver's side control won't operate it nor either of the two rear controls. Front windows work fine from both front controls and i can't find a blown fuse or anything. I even removed the control panel to see if everything was plugged in fine. If anybody knows of a fix, I sure would be glad to hear it.

I don't know if this is related but I had a similar problem a few weeks ago with the rear window in my '05. It turns out it was the heat causing the glass to stick. When It finally opened it sounded like the wipers do when they get a little melted to the windshield and break free. Basicly what I'm saying is do you think it could be heat related?

I recently replaced one rear window motor on my 2002 XLT (4 door). All the windows run up and down by cables that the motor drives. On mine the window failed in the up position.

Turned out the plastic drive gear at the motor was twisted, jamming the motor. Lucky for me I found a new one on eBay that was quite inexpensive.

have the same issue with the left rear window in my 03. It is a prob with the window sticking in the track. need to get some dry lubricant into the tracks once you get the window to move. Mine wont budge with hand pressure but luckily if i park it in the sun for a while, with that window facing the direction of the sun, it will start working again and i lube the window tracks.

Had the same problem on my 03 with the windows sticking. Sometimes with hand pressure I can get it to unstick. The other day it was stuck and could not get it to budge. So I removed the door panel and removed the motor housing cover and manual turned the motor to wind the window down. Very simple, just make sure you put the motor housing back on correctly or else it will be backwards.

It has been so hot in TX lately that the windows seem to stick very often unless I cycle them regualry. It does help to spray a teflon lubricant on the top seal.
