power window motor removal?

I've actually got a 'Honey-Do' list of things I need to do to my Explorer, as well as my wife's 92 F-150 4X4, and 'Lubricate the windows' is on there! But thank you for the specifics.

Now..... Where did I put that doggone White Lithium again??? :dunno:

AZ3008 I have a 95 Explorer , The window just started chattering when its just about 3 inches to to be fully opened ans also when you hit the top it will chatter. It still opens and closes between those point fine . Im thinking its probably the plastics in the motor shot . But if I read your post did you say it could just be loose bolts on the motor ?

Tightening the motor bolts is the easiest solution and you should try that. Could be the regulator i have no clues when it comes to power windows lol. On my 91 the plastic gear plugs inside the motor had completely exploded haha. Everything worked fine after i replaced the gear plugs.
