Power window motor replacement ?

Well, I went to the junkyard & got it. $50w/ motor & they pulled it. So I go tthat fixed now.
I called up the local Ford dealer & no wonder people complain about them. I asked for a price on the regulator & you know they actually told me it was $253. I was like "are you sure?" & he said. Yup $253 & that is with the discount. I told him to keep it.
The local yards( & some not so local) have a good amount of parts so i'm going to look tomorrow.

Thats because they probably tried to sell the motor with it. The regulator itself should only be 80 bucks. The motor I think was another 100 or so here in VA Beach.

Nope no motor. Just the regulator.

On a side note. I just went to the j-yard today & got a immaculate headliner, rear hatch
(glass & hatch) weatherstripping, & a TON of fuses, diodes, & misc things including a Owners manual & all the factory booklets.. for $40
'm going back on Monday for a 3.73 LSD rear for $250 pulled( they have 4 of them). I may even pick up a 5 speed.

I tore my door apart last week and I had a track lying in the bottom. I don't know where it goes, hell I can't hardly see inside the door anyway. When I press my window button, the motor clicks but then doesn't move the window. Anyone know how to fix it?

U wrench it is an awesome place. I have been there a couple of times. I need to get out there and look for whole door panels. My handles on the inside have broke off and I need the entire panel to fix it.

The crush bushings are probably shot. I fixed mine with a piece of a bolt I cut to fit in the gear assembly. You will need to take the motor apart. If your track was laying inside the door chances are you will need a whole regulator assembly. You will need a drill to dig out the rivets. I would help you, but I am stuck in Hawaii for the next 24 days doing some work on the PACFLT side

josh what kinda engine you got in yours cause i need a new one soon im running close to 200,000 and its tapping bad

I have an OHV out of a 2000. I got it from a local junkyard for 700 bucks. I changed mine out at 220K only because I had the money. The other motor looked like it was sprayed with bedliner from all the crap I used to put in it. It was just a matter of time. I just went out and picked the best looking motor I could find. If you have a pre-95 truck and you get a 95+ motor, you will have to remove all of the sensors from your motor and use them on the new one. My truck did'nt have the cam possition sensor but the new one did. You can remove the CPS but you will need the cam gear out of the older motor to drive the oil pump. Don't forget to label everything. It makes it a lot easier on the flip side. If you have other questions, drop me an e-mail. jocrook2@cox.net
