Broken wire in your door harness where the body and door meet....it's happened before...

Ryan

I came to that same concusion but if the wire is broken in the driver side will it prevent the other three windows from working I try using the passenger side window and it don't work
Thanks

Yep the main power supply enters the drivers door first,if broken, this will stop all other windows working:( Its the thickest wire inside the rubber sock that you can see when you open the drivers door.
1st.. remove the 3 bolts on the bottom of the door trim.
2nd...remove plastic insert behind door handle
3..Carefully lift up and off door trim
4...disconnect electric mirror supply
5...disconnect window/central locking supply set trim aside
6...remove door speaker/disconnect(this gives you more room)
7...find break in wire and repair, I used butt connectors, a 3" piece of auto power cable (to give myself more to work with)and electrical tape.
Hope this helps:)

Oh yeah, there is one more bolt behind door handle

yeah it sounds like a broken wire harness in your door

Here is a great thread with pics for checking for broken wires in boot between door and the body, thanks to synyster:  http://www.explorerforum.com/forums//showthread.php?t=270081

Post #3 in this thread has great instructions for removing the door panel, Thanks to theofam:  http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=271333

If you have no broken wires then here is a great link for troubleshooting the power windows, it's for the '02 but should help you out. Thanks again to theofam! http://www.scribd.com/doc/14896086/2002-Explorer-Power-Window-System-Diagnosis

Yup. Same problem on mountaineer today

Bad design. 12 awg wires that's being bent at the hinge. When a wire is routed at a hinge it should be configured to twist, not bend in half
