yesterday i pulled in my garage and i tryed to roll up my windows and the powers didn't work. I looked at the dashboard and theft light was on.I have replaced the fuse 3 times and the fuse keeps blowing. This is what i have tryed so far. I unpluged the power lock motors and the power seat and the fuse keeps blow. Can some one please help
the batterys are free of corsion. what grounds should i check? everything works in the truck exempt the power windows, locks and power seat. i made a jumper wire and it keeps arcing when the ignition is on. it don't arc when the ignition is off.
Yikes! You made a jumper wire in your fuse block panel? You might wanna take that out before your electronics get damaged. There has to be some sort of ground wire for the fuse panel.

Check the grounds on the battery. Then see if you can find any ground leads to the fuse block panel. You might wanna buy a hayes repair manual. Those things are handy.

something is shorting out bigtime. Not to say this is exactly your issue, but a guy on the Lincoln mark 8 forum who had a wire from a wire bundle in his door rub against something and short out. You may have to inspect all the wires in your doors for any rubbing.
asking once more.... what fuse number is it.... and is it in your fuse box or your power distribution box? save your "fuse money".... get a meter and measure the resistance at the fuse.... begin unplugging stuff until the resistance reading is no longer zero.
the fuse is in power distribution box. i don't know the fuse number. if your are standing over the power box its the thrid one from the back on theleft hand side. I will pick up a meter 2 morrow. i know this sounds crazy but what setting should i put the meter on?
Well if I understand your "description", it "sounds" like number 5.... your best candidate is the accessory delay relay is "fubarred".... pull it and see if your fuse is "saved" (or as suggested, your meter now reads non-zero for resistance... as for reading / setting on a meter... always start with the highest resistance setting and then move down... hopefully it will be a "autoranging" meter, then you just set and it will do the work.... however, if you are unsure of how to operate a meter then I would stick with "blowing fuse test" unless you can find someone to help you out a bit.... cause you can cause "sparks" which probably won't be good for your meter if your meter isn't set right or attached properly to the test points).
ok giuys i found and fixed the probilem. i started unpluging things everywhere and see if it tarted blowing the fuse angain. I wnt behind the radio and there is a black box mounted on the left with 3 plugs. I upluged from that box and the arcing stop. I pluged it back it and theere still was no arcing so everything is back to normal now. what is that called and what is it used for? the problem was rifght but the theft light would stay on. 6am this the damn truck starts blowing its horn by it self. great right!!! so i had to get on this fourm and find what to do. i keyed in the keyless code and it stoped.
I think I might be having the same problem. I have a fuse under the hood keeps blowing, its the on the left, 3rd one from the back. My owner manual says it controls the power windows, locks and seats, which non of the work at this moment. In addition, my break lights don't work except for the 3rd one. I do have a meter but not sure how to go able doing this. PLEASE HELP!!!!
