power windows

anybody have a problem with there power windows?
when i turn the window lock off the wire heats up,my lights dim, apparently i have a short. can anyone help?

You're probably going to just have to pull things apart and track down the shorted wire. No other good way about it.

Have you installed any electronics lately or done any work on the truck near the wiring? If so, I'd start looking at those locations. You may have pinched a wire somewhere.

Welcome to this forum! Pull the door panel off to check for wiring with pierced insulation. Autozone's website should have a schematic with a color code.
