powerstearing problem..

My powerstearing sounds strained when turning while driving. Even at small stearingwheel movements.. Sounds pretty much like when you turn to full end stop and then some..?!
Any ideas on where to start looking?

I think it started when I hit a pothole while making an evasive manouver for some wildlife.. ?!

Its normal for these pumps to make a little noise and have nothing wrong with them especially with a truck of your age. Mine makes a little noise but it works great even with 35in tires. But If its really loud then try checking the power steering fluid level first.
