Powertrax No-slip driving problems

So, I'm hoping it's just driver error...but I want to run the test. Does anybody have the recommended test that comes in the installation manual? I've got no idea where my manual is.
If it's driver error. Actually I think it's a particularly sensitive situation (sharp uphill turn) for the No slip and an inexperienced driver. But I'm still not sure what I'm supposed to do in this situation. Mash the go pedal or ride the brakes a little?
Powertrax has their manuals online in PDF format (you have to fill out the form to get to them).

Jefe, I tried that but all I could find was the owner's manual. And it said the test was outlined in the installation manual.

i know where my manual is and i can bring it to work tomorrow and scan it in. PM me your email address and i'll send the scans.

Z the entire install and test is on the PT site, you need adobe acrobat to read it

The installation manuals are also there.

i just looked too and it appears they redid their website. looks like you have to fill out a form to get the manuals now. i didn't look real hard but it seems they mail them to you or something. that's a bummer. i'll scan it for you tomorrow.

The test says to put the trans in park, thats wrong, with the rig on jackstands put it in neutral, turn the drivers side wheel forward and hold against the driveshaft, have your helper try to turn the pass side whell in the same direction, it should not be able to rotate, but should turn freely in the oppisite direction, repeat the test on the other side, PTs phone tech support is great, call them

Just fill out the form with crap* and it will link you to a page with all the links to all of Richmonds manuals, including user and installation manuals for Powertrax units.

*: maybe then Richmond will realize how stupid this is, especially w/o a privacy policy so they could be selling your contact info for all you know

Sorry, but thats not right.
OK. for everyones benefit: You should be in park (gear), on jackstands, and the first person should turn the tire until it wont turn anymore. Then the other person should try to spin the tire both directions. It should ratchet in the opposite direction, but should lock up spinning it the same direction. Do this for both directions, and for both sides.

In Park, nothing will turn, with or without a PT unit, I called PT and was told, put it in drive or neutral, heres a pic, do not know if it will work, the no slips do not ratchet, they are not lockers

In park with both wheels in the air and the e-brake off, both wheels will spin...one forward and one backwards if you have an open differential. All putting it in park does is lock the driveshaft, the differential still allows the wheels to rotate in opposite directions. You do leave it in park (or in gear if it's a manual) to do the tests. Also, No Slips ARE lockers and they do ratchet, albeit very quietly. Their design is very similar to the Lock-Right, just improved for quieter, smoother operation.

Did you install your own or did you have it put in by a shop?
