I have heard great things about the Powertraxx no-slip locker. It is supposed to be smooth, like a LSD, and also obviously lock as well. No chattering or ratcheting sounds or clunking or banging. I have a buddy that has 4,500 miles on his in his JK that has 5.13's and 37's. And he doesn't drive it soft at all. Snow and rocks and some sand is what he has played in with it, says its dead quiet with great road manners as well as always locked when needed off road.

Anyone on here running one? Its the new version of the lunchbox lockers.

The No-Slip has been around forever and people on the forum have used it - off the top of my head, I think JEFE ran one.

Um....I must've been mistaken. I thought he said they had only made it for a few years. Either way he loves it and has had great luck with it. Ill try and find JEFE to ask what he thought of it.

I have one in the back of my Explorer ;)

I have had mine for about 4-5 years now. I had to replace one side of mine though as it broke.

I did know that either of you where running that locker in the rear. Both you liked yours? Quiet on the street good road manners? Curious because I tow a fair amount to.

Don't even know it's there until you get on it. No noise..ever! I'm running 37's and 5.13's but I was running this same unit when I was 33's and 3.73's. Use to DD it with no problems at all.

I've run that locker in 2 Explorers and a Samurai. I'd buy it again.

Wow seams like everyone has had the same experience with it as my buddy did. No noise smooth and works perfect! Sounds like a winner to me. Been leary of the lunchbox style ones because I disintegrated one in the back of my Trans Am. First time down the track sheared all teeth off on both sides. Don't remembe what one it was because I wanted to forget that experiance. This one sounds legit though.

now the next question is no slip or lockright and why? I'm thinking more towards the lockright but that's because on their website it says "recreational off-roading" and that sounds more like me.

I have one and it is quieter than a Detroit or Lock Right but I do know it's there. Mine went in fine but my buddy had trouble with the go/no go measurement in his. His side washers were worn and too thin. New ones were too thick. Finally was able to locate used that worked.

I have used a TrueTrac before and if you really want great street maners I would recomend it. Or a Torsen with pre load if you want a bit more. Should work great with a few clicks on the e-break

I'd be a little cautious on what the website says and base my decision on independent review's just like what's going down here. That's just me tho'.

I've heard good things about the no-slip, primarily that it's almost transparent when used in a daily driver. Mine's arriving tomorrow so hopefully I'll have some sort of review soon.

no i feel you lynchy. I never trust websites; except this one. just lookin for anybodies two cents.

Whats the difference in the no slip and lockright? Is the no slip a real full locker or is it like a strong ls?i am looking at the aussie, they got good reviews and priced right, but this is my dd and at $380 a tire,i want something that is a real locker but wont eat my tirss up!
