The top picture is the whoops, well here's the story. Me and my friend, the guy in the green explorer, went to GWNF to find some good trails. Well all we found were BIG rocks where we went and were pretty screwed because of the obvious ground clearance issues. After some tense trail riding, we went back home and proceeded to my friends farm to get back to something we know MUD! Well he told me we could have some fun in this area because they were getting ready to sell it. The company that was going to buy it had dug testwells which flooded the ground where I am stuck. To make a long story short I got stuck on the second time through and got pulled out by the green explorer. Then being the bright individual that I am I said hell, I can get through there: and obvisouly I didn't. By the time I got out the ruts were knee deep and alot of cleaning was needed.

Bravo. It's always good to see someone push the Ex beyond grocery-hauler.

Don't be afraid of those rocks. Good wheel placement and a certain disregard for dents make rocks a BLAST!!

Darkman, We were actually on 4-wheeler trails. They weren't clearly marked and we went to the wrong area. The trail was like miles of pure rock. I've never seen anything like it basically there was no ground just big rocks covering the trail. We went about 1/2 mile crawling along. After awhile it stopped being fun because the pucker factor was so high. Those rocks would rattle your teeth out. The final straw was when i almost rolled mine over when I was going around a big rock and put my left front tire up on the side of the trail and my right slipped off a rock. I was sooo going over and my friend jumped on my bumper and put me back on all 4. My friends green explorer has no lift and he was catching on his step bars and front suspension. The going was even more rough for him than me. I think more experience would help out as much as anything short of major lift and tires in that situation. We were primarily relying on common sense and the ever present reminder that our explorers were our only way home, lol. But looking back we had a great time and don't regret a bit off it.

Famous last words. :banghead:
hell, I can get through there
Many have been there.
