1993 Ford Explorer XLT
Hey guys!!!

I love this forum so much. I have a 1993 Ford Explorer XLT. I love it so much and will keep it forever hopefully. This forum is amazing because others are like me and love the old Explorers!!!

I have a problem, the driver side rear light does not work, but the brake light and turn signal DO work. On the passenger side in the rear, everything works except the turn signal.

I already replaced the bulbs, socket on the driver side, and also got a new combination/turn signal switch put in. I also checked all the fuses and they are all good.

What could be the issue? Thank you everyone yeah!!!!!

so...
Rear, Left side:
Running light: No
Brake Light:Yes
Turn Signal:Yes

Rear, Right side:
Running light: Yes
Brake Light:Yes
Turn Signal:No

Turn on your "hazard" switch, report what you observe.

The hazards all work except for the rear driver side

The hazard flasher illuminates the same filament in the bulbs as the brake light & turn signal. This suggests the multifunction switch is bad or the connector to it is. Since you have already replaced the switch, front probe the connector and pierce probe the corresponding wire as far down as possible , testing for continuity.

The Rear, Left Hand side running light not working has to be the bulb , the socket or the connection of the short stretch of brown wire to the parallel/tap connector. It can't be anything else if the right hand side running light is working, with standard wiring .
