I started noticign that one side of my car was higher then the other. I measured it on a level surface and noticed the top of the left wheel well is 34 inched while the right is 36. What could have caused this and how to I go about fixing this? Is this going to be a major problem or what? Any help would be appreciated.

Do a search on Tortion Twist.

2002 X's dont have torsion bars.....

thats wierd, id take it to the dealer and see what they say, is it still under warranty?

btw, thats the first time ive seen ur truck, it looks sweeet! check out the lowering springs for it, it would make the stance a lil meaner, and who knows, maybe even fix your un-eveness

Thanks nnick. I would def. like to lower it, but I can't seem to find a lowering kit. You know where I can get one for a 2002 X. thanks a lot man.

a company called groundforce makes them, they are lowering springs good for 1.8" i believe. a member over at www.fordexplorer.net has them named flik, you might wanna ask him where he got them.

gordonma Take that to the dealer and be very sturn to the point that you do not accept that difference in ride height. I bet they will give you trouble about it being something you did. They will see your wheels and calipers and other mods and blame you. Stick to your guns.

Thanks blackmagic... my dad actually manages a ford dealership, so worse case scenario I can bring it there to him and im sure they could fix it warranty or not. I was just wondering how or why it happened.. but I guess they'll tell me that.

Just a quick question... did you do the measuring right after you did your calipers? Reason I'm asking is because you had the entire truck off the ground and if you put it down and measured without driving it first that will give you false measurements because the suspension hasnt settled.

BTW, explorer express has a lowering kit for your truck. They lowered their silver X using it. It looks good.

98FordX24, Nah I actually measured it before I even did the calipers... so im pretty much stunned as to what could have caused it. Im going to head to the ford dealership sometime this week and see what they make of it. Thanks.
