I know this seems like a really dumb question because I have replaced lights/bulbs on many different vehicles. This past weekend my wife and I found a great deal on a 2001 XLT. The vehicle is in great condition and the only thing missing is the fog lamps. There were no fog lamps/bulbs on the vehicle at all, only the wiring to attach new lights to. I checked my owner's manual, and then verified again at Auto Zone that the lamp size was "899". After buying the lighting I attempted to put the new bulbs in. Much to my surprise they don't fit the wiring..am I doing something wrong or was there a change in bulb size for this year model that isn't mentioned in the manual??
