For those with larger than stock tires, has anyone had their truck scanned to correct the speedo and computer or have encountered any problems as a result of the larger tires? I recently purchased an 03 xlt 4wd and am looking at 255's, but because i have a warranty for another 35k, and I don't want to jeopardize my coverage. I can live with the speedometer being off and maybe even the tranny shifting funny, as long as it doesn't cause catastrophic failure. Thanks in advance

my x was bought used with 39k miles on it with a set of wrangler rt/s

when they wore down we bought some new dunlops in the same size... which was a 255/70/16

i actually brought a gps in the car while i was driving to make sure it was accurate and it was pretty much dead on

i dont think it would alter your speedometer or shifiting patterns... nothing to worry about

and suggestion on tires.... bf goodrich all terrains would be my first but besides that i would get dueler a/t revos or regular duelers

Its a 30" tire - you should be fine.
