I have a 95 XLT. Today it was raining and I usually turn 4WD AUTO on in the rain, just so my wheels don't spin if I have to accelerate hard. I went to turn around my dead end to pull in my driveway, and when I turned the wheel the car started vibrating like crazy. I stopped, and experimented and kept turning the wheel hard driving in a circle, slowly. The car was vibrating like it was going to fall apart. I shut 4WD AUTO off to regular 2WD and it was fine going in a circle. What is the problem? Anyone else experience this? Its definatly not tires because I just had them a month ago. Even with the old bald ones, it never did this.

If you were turning an in 4wd, one wheel goes faster than the other when turning. Which would cause it to skip, vibrate, etc.

On pavement even if it's wet traction is often too good for 4wd.

Yes, I know this, but the car never did this before and I was just wondering if this was a problem?
