ok, as some of you know...i ordered my altezzas for my '93 x in dec on the first day they came out, got them, installed them and they look great. i have been washing my car once a day to keep the salt off and after i powerwashed them last time, i noticed a condensation on the inside. so, i took the lens out figuring out that i woyld wipe it out from the inside, but it is not on the inside...there are actually 2 pieces and the seal between them has a leak. the condensation is starting to go away but has anybody else had this problem?

i contacted my supplier and they are under 1 yr warranty but they want me to "send them in for testing to see if i installed them correctly" (as if it is complicated or something!). any ideas (because i really do not want to give them up for a testing period)

the 98+ altezzas had this issue also.. pretty much the only remedy is to locate the small pinhole crack and fill it with some clear silicone sealer, it shouldn't be too hard.. unforatunatley I can't give any insight on how to do this :(

This is normal for ALL types of altezzas. Try to find leaks and seal them up and make sure the bulb sockets are nice and tight.

I love a test pilot!!!!!!!!!

ok so i know i need to fill it, but the problem is that its winter in michigan..it looks like i'll have to swap to factory, clean the altezzas, let the rest of the condensation dry up, let them thaw (its about 15 degrees out) fill yje crack, let it dry, then re-install them. sounds like i may be waiting till spring.

anybody have any first-hand experience with sealing the cracks?

naw you can probably do the whole process in a few days

I would be raising some major hell with the producer of those lights. They know what they're doing and with the $200 you guys are spending on those, they should be top-notch.

really...did you have problems with them too?

you guys this is really normal, thye get orders for these products that are "NEW" and before the Epoxy they use to seal the lights can dry they lights are shipped out. I guess if the epoxy isn't dry and the lights are jolted in just the right way it can "break" the seal of the lense and thats why you get a leak in the lense. or so i understand

i'm crossing my figers next time i wash the truck...see, i wash it all the time but i didnt notice it until i did some mudding and spent alot of time powerwashing the whole thing (i normally just do a quickie). i'm hoping the whole is near the bottom because if it is and i am careful, i wont have to try and seal them.
